What's a Business Mentor with Federal Diploma of Higher Education ?
A business mentor supports employees of an organisation or company in the progression of their careers and skills. They possess qualifications in professional coaching, technical knowledge of the relevant field, and management skills.
He provides support by alternating between three roles as needed: coach, trainer, and advisor. The mentor is regarded as a key resource within the company.
The corporate mentor training program leading to the federal certificate lasts from 18 months to three years, depending on your needs and availability.
There are three support positions you must master in order to qualify for the certification

Who can participate?
This training program is designed for professionals who are currently working and wish to specialize in supporting employees through mentoring.

An application must be submitted to the b-come management team.
Goals
- Support an employee or manager as they take on a new role or develop their skills
- Develop a personalized support plan tailored to the needs of the mentee (the person being mentored)
- Develop the skills of a coach, trainer, and advisor, and learn how to use them effectively
- Promote the mentee’s autonomy, self-reflection, and sense of responsibility
- Create a safe learning environment that enables the mentee to identify and draw on their resources
- Provide a professional support framework that complies with the ethical and professional standards of the profession

Three days of training sessions will be held at the MIC (Marly Innovation Center)

Video conference sessions are held via Zoom.
Individual supervision sessions take place at the offices of the supervisors you choose.
Mentor Program
Program
- 8 training modules on coaching techniques and posture, in accordance with the requirements of the International Coaching Federation (ICF)
- Opportunity to participate in coaching training sessions throughout the training program (12 sessions offered per year)
- 5 e-learning modules to reinforce what you've learned
- 5 individual project mentoring sessions (via videoconference)
- 1 learning module on the role of an adult educator
- 6 days of mentoring and practice for the Brevet exams
- 9 individual supervision sessions, each lasting 2 hours (to be completed over a minimum of 6 months)
- At least 20 hours of mentoring (documented and analyzed)
A number of written assignments must be completed during the program and are required in order to sit for the federal certification exams. Mentors and supervisors approved by the examination board will guide you through this process.
Exams
The admission requirements for federal exams are the prerequisites specified in the federal exam guidelines, which are available at bp-mentor.ch
There are two exam sessions per year: in the spring and in the autumn. During the session, you present your work to the experts. Then, you conduct a live coaching session (50 min)
Costs
Cost of training with a subsidy
Since January 1, 2018, the federal government has been providing direct subsidies to individuals preparing for an advanced vocational examination. Training costs incurred for preparatory courses may be reimbursed (up to 50 percent, excluding meal expenses).
In some cantons and municipalities, there are also funds set aside for training. Please contact the relevant offices in your canton and/or municipality.
Cost of the training without a subsidy
Exam fees are billed separately by the exam board.
Modalités de paiement possibles
1- Paiement de la totalité du montant avant le début de la formation, soit le 15 août au plus tard : pas de frais supplémentaires.
2- Paiement en 2 échéances, au 15 août avant le début de la formation et l’autre moitié au 15 janvier de l’année suivante : 3% de supplément.
3- Paiement en 3 échéances, au 15 août précédent le début de la formation, au 15 janvier et au 31 juillet de l’année suivante : 4% de supplémement.
4- Paiement en 12 échéances, du mois d’août précédent le début de la formation au 31 juillet de l’année suivante : 5% de supplément.
Dans tous les cas, le montant total sera dû au 31 juillet de l’année suivant le début de formation.
